When the share -market falls, the media is quick to confront us with messages of how many “billions were wiped off” and gleefully uses terms like “bloodbath” and “investors are nervous”.
Yet it’s a different story when the share-market is moving up. That’s not nearly as exciting so we don’t get equivalent positive messages. In fact, we rarely get any messages.
This imbalance in coverage leaves many investors believing they’re doing poorly. Worse, it leaves potential investors in a state of confusion and fear, so they avoid investing.
